Fraser Family enjoy a Father's Day Outing
“We had a great time with Down Under Kayaking for my daughter Bridgette's 10th birthday. The guides kept the girl's laughing and Kim led the party with a wonderful balance of safety, education and terrific storytelling! The girl's came off the water with huge smiles on their faces!” J. Lamando, Westport, CT. “It was the best party ever” said Sarah Elliman.
"Kim's DownUnder Kayaking in Rowayton, CT is a great place for kayaks, guided trips along the coast of LI Sound, and cool stuff for sale in the store. My daughter and I had a great time on a group kayak trip. She's well organized and makes everything a lot of fun." Mimi and Kathleen Griffith.
Not For Profit
Downunder is committed to serving the community. We do this in many ways - we contribute thousands of dollars worth of services to charities annuallyWe offer children's program scholarships for those that just can't afford it. And most important, we look for groups and organizations that are of an outreach nature or for the underserved, and find ways to help them. We offer large discounts for not for profit groups, especially where outreach related. Feel free to refer organizations you care about, to us.
Norwalk Family & Children's Agency:
“Down Under Kayaking presented our adolescent girls group with a wonderful opportunity to learn to kayak and while learning to rely each other. Thanks Kim!” Marjorie Peterson, Family & Children’s Agency, Norwalk.
6 girls came out with us for morning of 'fun'. Only to them, it was scary stuff. Several of whom didn't know how to swim, and most didn't know how to kayak. The beauty is - they faced this fear, got out there, did great, had a blast, and raved about it afterwards. More importantly is what it did for their self esteem, and how it empowered them. Every time we face a fear and tuck it away as 'mastered', we're better able to face the next, more inclined to take chances, and pretty much, live our lives more fully.

Corporate
Heidmar Inc. “It was a great day thanks to Kim and her instructors. Individuals from different departments were able to relate with each other on a whole new level, sea level that is! The hors d’oeuvres and drinks on the deck completed the experience. Thank you Downunder Kayaking." Marion Pace, Heidmar Inc.
Bear Naked Granola: Kelly Flatley and Brendan Synnott, owners of Bear Naked, agree that “this was a great way for our employees to spend time together, enjoy some fresh air and exercise, and be on the water.” The Bear Naked team paddled to the Fish Islands where they enjoyed lunch and beach games, and cleaned up the shoreline. Flatley added, “At Bear Naked, we work hard and play hard. Down Under Kayaking gave us an experience that included both – although it wasn’t really that hard – it was a lot of fun! The guides were helpful, knowledgeable, and really took care of our team.”
Thomson Corporation: This year was our second participating in the Thomson annual summer party at the Stamford Yacht Club. And yes, we pack up the kayaks and take them there... along with a huge water trampoline. It's one of our favorite events of the year!
